The source to target designer will store all of this metadata in the same place that is easily accessible to your entire design team.

 

Design data flows. When moving data from one place to another, there are multiple processing steps that occur. A strong data flow design is the best way to ensure that data movement is being performed correctly. After your designs are complete, they can be routed through Frogpoint^® to the appropriate extract, transform, and load (ETL) developers so they can constuct the data loads using their ETL tool of choice.

 

Design report layouts and specifications. Frogpoint^® provides a rich HTML editor to not only mock-up reports, dashboards and other outputs, but also to design how end-users will eventually interact with this output. Designers can specifiy all of the rules surrounding report drilling, togging, totalling, sorting, etc and store this with the report mock-up. Report developers will be able to develop these designs in a reduced timeframe by having a solid visual representation of what is being developed as well as the underlying logic.
